7 reasons why Ivanka Trump may have a political future

President-elect Donald Trump’s oldest daughter Ivanka proves that it’s possible to be smart, gorgeous, and everything in between. Journalists and pundits alike have speculated that she may play a major role in his presidency.

Ivanka’s future remains to be seen. She cannot be appointed to Donald’s presidential cabinet, so she will likely create her own role if she does work with her father. She could also simply continue to be a daughter, as she has throughout his campaign and election win.

She’s educated

35-year-old Ivanka Trump was born in Manhattan. She has two brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric; a half-sister, Tiffany; and a half brother, Barron.

She attended Chapin School in Manhattan until she was 15. She then transferred to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. After graduating, she attended Georgetown University for two years. She then transferred once more to the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

She’s got an impressive résumé

Ivanka worked for a Cleveland-based real estate company before she joined the family business. Today, she is the Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization. She focuses on the company’s real estate and hotel initiatives.

She wrote The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life in October 2009, and will soon publish her second book, titled Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success.

She’s been in the political spotlight

Ivanka endorsed her father’s presidential campaign and was soon in the spotlight as a result. She spoke many times throughout Donald’s campaign, in contrast to his wife Melania’s very few speeches.
